ART BIZARRE DETROIT OCT 31 2020

Indoor/ outdoor art extravaganza party, extreme costumes encouraged! Meet the wild elements of Detroits creatives! 4pm – 1 am 7032 E Ferry Street, Detroit 4821

The Packard Art Collective, a house with art and graffiti on wall and ceilings inside, murals on the outside, dedicated to art, music and free expression:

Art gallery pop ups, music, burlesque performances, crazy costumes, weirdo acts, fire art, spoken word, Detroit’s wild creatives!

Ensuring masks and social distancing, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space everyone will be risk free and safe.

Bushwick Wyckoff Art Crawl

SEPT 20, 1pm – 8 pm Wyckoff Ave between Jefferson Street x Willoughby Street, Bushwick NY 11237

Artists, musicians, performers, gather with friends and fans of the arts in the public space in our beloved Bushwick!
Join the art crawl along Wyckoff Ave to see the showcases and installations.

Experience performances and music in the ultra creative Bushwick, Brooklyn, hottest art community in New York City!
Bushwick artists represent a genuine, cutting edge, real and raw as well sophisticated art community not to be missed while in existence.

Particularly now in the pandemic aftermath and season of continued instability and fear, ART IS ESSENTIAL

Performance art with Hector Canonge, 3pm – 5pm:

Paint a van invites artists to paint a vehicle, a big Ford van for the Church of Good Deeds invites graffiti writers and artists to spell the title of this non profit in creative (graffiti) lettering plus their fun images,

and various panels of the minivan of Fishwithbraids are open to creative work! Some paints provided, however bring your usual spray, markers, and paints

Artist responses to COVID, installations, questions and comments will appear on signs along this crawl, exercising the freedom of speech, instigating discussion.

A Black Lives Matter display with Carla Jean is part of this event, as she has been since 2016

Music Dj sets by Right on Shawn (house), Mikey Microphone (varieties of Techno), Wild Embeddings with acts and music (experimental electronic): 2 set locations: 9 Wyckoff Ave and at 49 Wyckoff Ave, 1pm – 8pm

call for artists Bushwick Art Crawl 2020

We are calling for visual artists (painters, sculptors, muralists, collage, textile artists), musicians, performance artists, circus performers, photographers, conceptual works to celebrate ART in these challenging times!
Following all protective precautions ART should be visible, sharable and enjoyable even during difficult times of infectious disease risk.
The event takes place in the open air, with 6 feet of distancing rules, mask or face shield required for all participants.
  • Event: ART CRAWL outdoors on sidewalks, open air, safe for social distanced precautions, along Wyckoff Ave in Bushwick between Jefferson Street and Willoughby Street.

A registration fee for visual artists
of $25 includes your name promotion with link to your work, coordination of your set up or installation and space assignment.

Open call for deejays, singer songwriters, bands,

performance artists, circus folks, sideshow performers, magicians, puppeteers, costume characters, stilters…! Green activists, environmental idealists, designers for a plastic free world

Event: “Imagining a Post Plastic World” Weekend Walk

Date: April 18 2020,

10 am – 6pm

Location: Bogart street and side streets between McKibbin and Thames, Bushwick Brooklyn NY 11206

Part of the NYC DOT Weekend Walks program, “Imagining the Post Plastic World” Weekend walk  will showcase Bushwick’s vibrant art scene with a focus on performance and music, world class eating and drinking establishments and unique retail spaces at the Morgan L-Train commercial hub as we imagine together what a public event can be without single use plastics.

Businesses, retail and food service establishments, within the street closure corridor will  operate on the street al Fresco during the event. Non-retail and food service business can showcase their operations and join us in imagining what post plastic world can be.

Artists, performers, galleries and musicians will showcase their work in the public space which becomes an outdoor lounge and plaza for the day.
