Bushwick Wyckoff Art Crawl

SEPT 20, 1pm – 8 pm Wyckoff Ave between Jefferson Street x Willoughby Street, Bushwick NY 11237

Artists, musicians, performers, gather with friends and fans of the arts in the public space in our beloved Bushwick!
Join the art crawl along Wyckoff Ave to see the showcases and installations.

Experience performances and music in the ultra creative Bushwick, Brooklyn, hottest art community in New York City!
Bushwick artists represent a genuine, cutting edge, real and raw as well sophisticated art community not to be missed while in existence.

Particularly now in the pandemic aftermath and season of continued instability and fear, ART IS ESSENTIAL

Performance art with Hector Canonge, 3pm – 5pm:

Paint a van invites artists to paint a vehicle, a big Ford van for the Church of Good Deeds invites graffiti writers and artists to spell the title of this non profit in creative (graffiti) lettering plus their fun images,

and various panels of the minivan of Fishwithbraids are open to creative work! Some paints provided, however bring your usual spray, markers, and paints

Artist responses to COVID, installations, questions and comments will appear on signs along this crawl, exercising the freedom of speech, instigating discussion.

A Black Lives Matter display with Carla Jean is part of this event, as she has been since 2016

Music Dj sets by Right on Shawn (house), Mikey Microphone (varieties of Techno), Wild Embeddings with acts and music (experimental electronic): 2 set locations: 9 Wyckoff Ave and at 49 Wyckoff Ave, 1pm – 8pm

Bushwick Troutman Art Fest

 

A FREE art festival in the public space in Bushwick, on Troutman Street between St. Nicholas Ave and Wyckoff Ave, next to the Jefferson L Train exits,

celebrating art in the community with the many artists that have studios or live/work in the neighborhood, local music talent, deejays, performance art, costumes and puppetry for a mini art parade,

art displays, installations

art parade, line up and walk at 5pm, giant puppets by Heather Piper, @piedpiperpuppets, shadow theater by Midnight Radio Show @midnightradioshow, performances and styling by Cult Party Nyc @cultpartynyc
